Free and happy in God
Liturgy of Sunday, August 18 - XX Sunday of Ordinary Time

Dear Brothers and sisters, in a time in which the world's leaders, increasingly “drunken” with power, riches, success, do not seem to realize the “price” of blood that because of their arrogance is “paid” by the innocent victims of their wars, their injustices, their wickedness, the appeal of Saint Paul to Christians to be increasingly filled with the Holy Spirit becomes more and more compelling…

Shouldn’t Christians perhaps be a “sign” of the presence and action of God who, in Christ His Son through the Holy Spirit, wants to save humanity from eternal failure?

In fact, the more we live according to the Spirit, the more we become a leaven of brotherhood, hope and joy in the world, until, finally free and happy in God, together with all believers we will praise and sing forever the Father who created us, the Son who redeemed us and the Holy Spirit who sanctified us.
