Abuse Hoax: Priest Convicted Despite Contradicting Key Witness

A Toledo court, Spain, sent Father José Luis Galán for eight and a half years to prison for having “repeatedly sexually, physically and psychologically” assaulted a teenager during 2011-2014 starting when the girl was 16.

Galán was the spiritual director of the girl’s school. According to ElPais.com (July 28), he proclaimed his innocence but admitted maintaining a sentimental relationship with the girl’s mother who divorced her husband because of this.

The accuser started developing anorexia, wrote her memories in a notebook in English (!) and attempted to commit suicide more than a dozen times which psychologist linked to “abuses.”

During the investigation and trial, the girl's mother testified against her own daughter maintaining that both the abuse she recounted, and the suicide attempts were part of a jealousy revenge.
