Fr. Pope is correct. Honoring Obama shows that Notre Dame has become an institute of lower learning. I wonder who Notre Dame will honor next? It would be bad enough just to have Obama speak as they did but to honor him on top of that shows the meaning of having to become like children to enter into heaven.
