Sweden: Wonderful Pilgrimage - Wonderful Video Documentary

Clemens Cavalli and Peter Wiberg released a September 3 documentary about the July 2022 Roman Rite Österlen pilgrimage, Southern Sweden, which attracted mainly young people and young families.

The video (below) contains beautiful footage and makes angelic voices sound. It shows the celebration of the Roman Rite in Lutheran (!) churches.

One of these is St Peter's in Ystad, a medieval abbey whose monks were forcibly expelled during the Reformation. The monastery was used for centuries as a hospital, vodka distillery, a granary and eventually left to decay until it was renovated in the early 20th century.

Fabian Petersson can be seen in the video. His "religion" for many years was football including hooliganism. After an injury, he searched for the meaning of life and found the Roman Rite.

"There is something real about the Old Mass; it is so drastically different from the world that surrounds us," he says.
