Americanism is funny

Last year (2023) TAN Books published the reprint of the English edition of lectures of Fr. Dillon (1884) unmasking freemasonry activities during pontificates of Gregory XVI, Pius IX and Leo XIII including but not limited to the (in)famous instruction of the Alta Vendita lodge regarding the revolution in the tiara and cope. The original edition (under the title War of Antichrist with the Church and Christian Civilization) was published in 1885 with the respective nihil obstat and imprimatur.
The lectures are revealing. So is the introduction and notes (or rather the disclaimer) of new editor but in another way. Let us quote:
"Monsignor Dillon makes several statements about Jewish involvement in some of the conspiracies he outlines. In the interest of historical integrity, and the fact that Monsignor Dillon mentions many other nationalities that played a prominent role in the plots he unfolds, we have retained these statements (how very gracious of Dear Editors ;-)))
We do not believe his intentions were animated by racial, religious, or any other anti-Semitic hatred of Jews. Likewise, we reject any and all forms of anti-Semitism."

@Sean Johnson years ago already I read that Tan books was compromised.

TAN Books has jumped the shark.

To be fair, the publisher was bought out a few years back [2008]. The new owners wanted it to be more "moderate" - i.e. neo-catholic. I have a lot of TAN books, but only older editions before the "update".
