With 57% of Americans saying viewing pornography is morally wrong and experts in agreement about the dangers of adolescent exposure to porn, it would seem like a winning cause for politicians to take up. Yet, politicians on both sides seem to ignore this issue. As internet pornography often gets more and more extreme, neither major party stands up for decency.

If actual public opinion opinion drove political policy, the US Government would be putting all its energies into ending the war in Ukraine. It would be a no brainer. The porn problem is very similar. I was once told that every advancement in internet technology was fueled by porn industry money. There is a vast amount of money going into the hands of very few, and they are able to control the politicians. The fact that so many prominent figures from the “moral majority” were morally compromised hasn’t helped anything either. The fact that the Church hasn’t crusaded against it, apart from opposing illegal porn is a scandal of epic proportions.

That's the problem. We look at the world through political eyes instead of Catholic eyes. My opinion is, you are either Catholic & choose virtue or not Catholic & choose vice. There is no blue or red.
