Archbishop Jean Zerbo (73) of Bamako, Mali, whom Pope Francis has named a cardinal, will not participate in the June 28th consistory for "health reasons", but will receive the cardinal's biretta from the nuncio, Vida Nueva writes.
Pope Francis named on May 21st five new cardinals without consulting anybody. This caused some embarrassment after precisely Archbishop Zerbo was ten days later accused of financial machinations.
