Christopher Ferrara’s hopeful words are confirmed with a reading of St. Hildegard’s Vision 11 in “Scivias”, where she saw in the Last Days:

“And behold there came suddenly a thunderbolt (recall the vivid thunder/lightning bolt within hours of Benedict XVI’s resignation), which struck the (demonic excrement-covered ) head with such great force that it fell from the mountain and yielded up its spirit in death.” The vision then showed the feet of the figure of the woman “Ecclesia” shining with splendour greater than the sun’s.

Hildegard of Bingen, 12th century German Benedictine nun and friend of the great St. Bernard, was made a Doctor of the Church by Benedict XVI on October 7th 20012.

Let us hope it is Pope Francis who will be God’s agent for striking the Demon dead!
