The Issue Behind the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate

Like cream rising to the top of a milk pail, recent news has affirmed initial speculations that the Franciscan Friars and sisters of the Immaculate were being treated in a heavy-hand fashion because some members were harboring “crypto-lefebvrian and definitely traditionalist drift” as related in a letter by Apostolic Commissar – err, Commissioner - Fr. Fidenzio Volpi.

What does this “crypto-lefebvrian and definitely traditionalist drift” actually refer to? According to a few reports, a discrete but general agreement with Archbishop Lefebvre’s (and thus his priestly society’s) theological stance on the Second Vatican Council as well as the problems of the Novus Ordo Missae.

Remember a similar situation was visited upon the Fraternity of St. Peter in 2000, merely because its Superior General, Fr. Joseph Bisig, instructed his priests to only celebrate the Immemorial Mass – thus prohibiting the New.

Bottom line, the enemy controls the happenings within the church. Be it Lefevbre in or out of the picture, doesn't matter. The powers at work have had over a half century to do their dismantling and so we find it in the state it is.
Only two things can help..
Prayer
And the people leave the Novus Ordo...Stop giving money..and attend the Latin Mass only!

The Fr Bisig/FSSP case is not the same as the situation with the FFI.
In the early days of the FSSP there weren't many FSSP chapels. So many of their priests were living in rectories with Novus Ordo priests, and they were asked to help out with Novus Ordo masses. This is no longer the situation.

What I find unusual about the FFI investigation is that other religious orders have similar problems: Priests are assigned to houses using inclusive (unapproved) language for liturgy. No investigation followed.

If Padre Pio REFUSED to say the novus ordo Mass, it should give one a pretty good reason for doubting it. Maybe we should print the names of more priests who did the same. Volpi should also wake up to realize that he is furthering the cause of Archbishop LeFebvre by his juvenile attitude toward the Franciscans. The "childish attitude" of "Get out of my sandbox". We can see that the Catholic Church is losing more and more Faithful daily by it's "protesting" attitude. Instead of shifting around the homosexuals, using so much energy to "fight" the Traditionalists, losing so many parishes, seminaries and priests, why don't they embrace the Traditionalists and get the number of priests back to what it was before Vat.II. WE PRAY FOR PEACE EVERY DAY AND YET WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO OBTAIN IT IN OUR OWN RELIGION.
Why isn't the Pope obedient enough to Consecrate Russia like Our Lady asked and await the "changes in the world" that She promised??

I've attended the Holy Masses of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate and found them to be only very humble, holy priests and nuns. To call them "crypto-lefebvrian" only demonstrates that Fr. Fidenzio Volpi is a simple minded man who needs to name call others to support his hatred of any traditionalist drift by anyone. I believe it is clear that the "real" problem is in the Vatican and with Fr. Fidenzio Volpi himself.
It appears that this will solve a lot of problems for those of us who are drifting toward traditionalism. Forcing us to stop supporting the modernist non-religious groups and increase our support for the truly religious traditional people. Lord have mercy on us!
