Liberal Papal Biographer Corrects Bishop Schneider

Ivereigh comments on Schneider's interview to EWTN. Schneider said that the signatories were wrong to accuse Francis of heresy because he hasn't made a formal, universal declaration of heresy. Though he admits he has allowed wrong teaching.

1. Ironic that the same person who accused me of being a Modernist now accuses me of lacking courtesy.
2. And you still haven't a clue what I was referring to when I mentioned the pope and ideology. He was the one who considers theology to be ideology--not me.More

Dr Bobus theology should be used to help conform thoughts to reality and teach brethren to lift their hearts and souls to God. There is no more danger than learned scholar that conforms thoughts to religious and political correctness (as you do in the case of papal diarchy) of his time instead of reality. Socrates asked questions with respect for truth whilst you ignore your adversaries. This is pride and hipocrisy show on your part. Authority is not rooted in diplomas and humans , what you convey, but in Triune God.

Do you know how many diplomas Saint Faustina received? Faustina was uneducated child in the eyes of the world fulfilling words of God: "“I praise You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that[a] You hid these things from wise ones and intelligent ones, and You revealed them to children[b]." p.s. Please learn basic courtesy/ savoir-vivre.

Obviously, you didn't understand what I wrote.
I am a Thomist by intention, education, and practice. How much St Thomas have you read? How much have you read about his thought? Any Maritain, Gilson, Fabro, Garrigou-LaGrange?

One of the better reasons I comment on this blog (in addition to having been invited) is the opportunity to enlighten people now and then on a few theological principles.

On the other hand the skunk at the picnic is having to deal with the likes of you, someone who deceives himself into thinking that demonstrating his own narrow-minded ignorance is a defense of the Church.

Socrates once wondered why he was considered he was the wisest man in Greece. He finally decided that it was because he knew that did not know.

It is a good lesson to be learned.

Dr Bobus 1. The question of Francis is not whether he is formal heretic, however being pope as such.
2. Modernist players, which you also play part (i.e. playing on nature of Petrine Office) , use methods to spread heresies universally in practice (praxis) and avoid clarity so to disqualify in theory (doctrinal) heretical as such. Francis' 2016 follow up letter to the Buenos Aires bishops includes complete profile of universallity in AL. He states the guidelines “fully express the meaning” of Chapter 8 and declares there are “no other interpretations” of this issue to clearly endorse guidelines as reference to the principle in Amoris Laetitia, as universal intention for whole Church, period.

By definition a letter to one bishop (or an episcopal conference) is not part of the magisterium unless a Pope references a universal principle.
Further, Francis has said that he considers theology to be merely ideology*. In so far as whether the document in question is part of the magisterium is a matter for theology, any conclusion must be merely ideology. Thus, and anyone can disregard it.

Ivereigh confuses power with authority.
