Edit: it's not just the large salaries drawn by Catholic Apologists on staff as reported by Michael Voris recently. Actually, we were surprised that Raymond Arroyo was only compensated with 100,000 a year, as compared to say, Bill Donahue's 399,156, but it's striking that Catholic Answers are so well compensated as Professional Catholics, despite the fact that they do so much to attack those who have legitimate grievances against the way the Church is run. But what's really interesting is that Catholic Answers has cut wages as much as 25%. Could it be that they are still suffering from Pope Benedict's Summorum Pontificum of 2007, which really put a dent in their credibility, as they were fairly hostile as a whole to such a movement?

Hey ... that's what I call em 'The Professional Catholics'. 🤮
yessir sometimes they just make me sick.
Especially, when in past they promoted the Medjugorje mania or some bad elements of

God bless them and the power of the Holy Spirit for returning. Deo Gratias ! 👏

My dear 85 year old father converted from Greek Orthodoxy 60 yrs ago. Holy man.
I seem to recall a quote from St John Chrysostom about converts.

...paraphrasing... converts should be welcomed with open arms, prayed over and embraced BUT with regards to speaking for the church or responsibility within the church... ah the convert should have lived the faith many years before being entrusted with such a responsibility...

Several times, I have had chance to speak with one local (Michigan USA)
'Professional Radio Catholic'.

When I told him of the plight of many Catholics priests, religious and laity during the 1970-80s... he said, " that was a long time ago", or "oh it was never really that bad",
"you exaggerate" or, "you just should been obedient to the local authorities"

how the H--- would he know when he was attending some other church all those yrs
We had masses in restaurants, city halls, funeral parlors etc

Truly a catacombs situation in america of that era.

oh by the way... a sure sign of a 'Professional Catholic' ... if you have a local ordinary that is silent
on abortion, homosexuality or B16's attitude toward the TRaditional Latin Mass...

the Professional Catholic will be the one over the airwaves...
"ah we're not the ones to judge someone in the hierarchy "

BECAUSE they could clip my wings and I lose my 6 digit salary

Amen.
