There’s no denying how far gymnastics have advanced, but it’s been in less than 100 years. Women didn’t compete in gymnastics at the Olympics until 1928. It could have been from elsewhere, but I think most of that footage is from the ‘50s and ‘60s. The jump in quality from Olga Korbut to Nadia Comaneci, in only 4 years, was immense. It’s only kept going, but, of course it has been done in a system, in the US at least, where the young women have been abused, sexually and otherwise.
