It Is Time for Israel to Listen. By Patriarch Emeritus Michel Sabbah

The war on Gaza means that there will be still more wars to come.

It means that Israel entered a war more than seventy years ago and has not been able to get out of it yet.

Israel should reconsider its calculations. Israel won and lost. It is still losing. The winner is the one who earns peace, justice, and humanity. Nothing of that, so far, was achieved.

Israel is facing a Palestinian people who lives on its own land and demands Israel and the world to give it back its freedom, in its own land, not in the land of anyone else.

This reality cannot be ignored. All major world powers cannot ignore this reality.

The peace of Israel, the peace of Abraham, the peace of God, begins in Palestine first, and with the Palestinians first, and then extends to the neighbours and to the whole region. Israel and the world must understand this.

Otherwise, they will keep the region in the grip of death and turn themselves into death makers. And they are the responsible.

The land and the peoples of the land say: Peace and justice and talk about the rights of the Palestinians. This is a voice that cannot be ignored.

It is time for Israel to listen.

It is time for Israel to end a war it began more than seventy years ago.

It is time to get out of it, not according to the logic of force and weapons, but rather according to the logic of justice and truth.

Israel won't listen, that is where he is wrong! Israel hates you!

Israel has repeatedly proven its openness to peace that could benefit all the peoples of the region. The so-called "Palestinians" cannot stand that non-Muslims flourish and would rather see all the Jews dead than accept their help. Yes, there have been repeated efforts by Israel to assist "Palestinians" to better their lives, but the Arabic "Palestinians" are trapped in their ethnic hatreds.

Great idea, Muslims are wonderful peace makers. 😂

Actually Abraham wasn't a Muslim.

He's sadly very naive. Christians in that region have fallen into a sort of Stockholm Syndrome through continual fear of their often violent and cruel Mohammadan neighbors.
The so-called "Palestinians" are primarily Mohammadans whose intense hatred of Jews was formed during a strong alliance with The Third Reich during WWII.
Over and over again, the Jews in the region have shown their openness to peaceful arrangements. But the so-called "Palestinians" always sabotage any developing arrangement and inevitably wind up losing more land.
For tremendous and overwhelming documentation of the impossible "Palestinian" mindset, go to Palestinian Media Watch online.

Isreal should leave Palestine to those who's homeland it is! It doesn't belong to them and they are an occupying army causes lasting turmoil in the region.

Strange how it's the Communists and Neo-NAZIs both who like the so-called "Palestinians" and hate Israel just as both Communists and Neo-NAZIs hate The Catholic Church.
