It’s in the Bible! True Devotion to Mary — Catholic Bible Quotes about Our Lady
Hello everyone, and welcome to America Needs Fatima’s Words of Wisdom short video series. In today’s Words of Wisdom we reflect on the words of Brant Pitre, a Catholic theologian.
“In contrast to most kingdoms, in ancient Israel, the ‘queen’ of the kingdom was not the king’s wife but his mother. Her royal title—‘queen mother’ (Hebrew: Gebirah)—is the feminine form of the word ‘master’ (Hebrew: Gebir). It can also be translated to ‘great lady’ or ‘mistress' (see 1 Kings 15:13; 2 Chronicles 15:16; Jeremiah 29:2). Indeed, in the historical books of the Old Testament, the Queen Mother holds a position of great honor. For example, in the genealogical introduction to each new king, it is the king's mother, not his wife, who is mentioned (e.g., 1 Kings 15:1-2).”
From the moment of the Annunciation, Mary’s fiat, her “yes” to God’s will, established her as the Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Heaven. She becomes the vessel through which the King, Jesus Christ, enters the world. May we, like the ancient Israelites, hold Mary in great esteem and recognize her as our spiritual queen mother.
Thank you for joining me, I hope these words of wisdom help you live your life in Faith. Talk to you all again soon!

America Needs Fatima is a campaign to capture the heart and soul of America with the Message of Our Lady of Fatima. In 1917, Our Lady asked for prayer, penance and other measures to avoid chastisement of suffering, famines, and wars. She also promised that:
“Finally, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
