On the 2,000th anniversary of the birth of Jesus and during the Jubilee, John Paul II went to the Holy Land in March, 2000. He traveled to the most important places in the life of Jesus, a journey to the roots of Christianity.
This pilgrimage was the occasion for a meeting with representatives from other religions and his trip to the Wailing Wall where he left a note asking for God's forgiveness for all of mankind's faults.

I love Israel. It is a wonderful experience to be where our LORD Jesus walked, lived, was crucified for our sins and raised from the dead to give us eternal life. Praise His Holy Name.
