Bishop Galarreta Requires Surgery, Ordinations to Subdiaconate in Germany Cancelled

Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) has to undergo a minor medical operation.

As a result, the ordinations to the subdiaconate scheduled for April 5 at the German-speaking seminary in Zaitzkofen, near Regensburg, will not take place.

The ordinations to the subdiaconate will be conferred by Bishop Bernard Fellay at the same time in Ecône, Switzerland. The German-speaking candidates will participate in this liturgy and will be ordained together with the French-speaking seminarians.

The Sacrament of Confirmation, scheduled for April 6 in Germany, will be postponed.
