Very true @Positano This is evidence of a rich visual culture and legacy that Vatican Council II stole from the world. I have known many (too many) Christians of several denominations who "fell away" from Christ because today's representations are so boring, so noticeably un-mystical. Instead, they gravitated to pagan religions that never lost, never abandoned their complex mystical traditions.
