The good news is there was a large ordination ceremony in the Roman Catholic Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Houston, Texas. The bad news is it was conducted by the United Methodist Church.
Pope Pius XI's 1928 encyclical on religious unity:
So, Venerable Brethren, it is clear why this Apostolic See has never allowed its subjects to take part in the assemblies of non-Catholics: for the union of Christians can only be promoted by promoting the return to the one true Church of Christ of those who are separated from it, for in the past they have unhappily left it. I am too old to be taken in by blind faith or errors even when wrapped fine ecclesiastical garments. Have some of us forgotten the original sin? Satan perform his greatest work in Paradise why not the Church? I have been accused of being too critical of the Church by some and cut off the debate on issues I honestly considere important. I can only say this:

"Question with boldness even the existence of a God; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason, than that of blind-folded fear." -- Thomas Jefferson
