Coronavirus: About 10’000 Catholic Parishes Apply for Government Loans

A quarter of Protestant congregations and more than a third of Catholic parishes in the U.S. successfully pursued loans under the Small Business Administration’s Pay-check Protection (PPP) Program, Npr.org (May 6) writes.

Of the approximately 17,000 U.S. Catholic parishes, about 10,000 applied for PPP loans. Of those, 6,000 had their applications approved. About 3,000 additional parishes have been notified that their applications were accepted in a second round.

Synagogues applied for government funding in a significantly smaller proportion.

The church in Germany did it, the church in Russia did it. If granted, the church will be subject to the government. God save the church from it's uncompitant leaders.

The Disunited States is in debt for many trillions of dollars. How can an entity that is in terrible debt, give out finances?
Also, the dollar has not been backed by gold or silver for decades, it's just green paper.
