Homosex: Vatican Prelate slams the door
Polish prelate Krzysztof Charamsa, 44, a high-ranking Vatican official, has outed himself as a homosexual, art18.pl reports.
In front of the camera, he accused the Church with great excitement to be "hypocritical” and to have a “despicable attitude" towards homosexuals. The Church, according to Charamsa, is dominated by “falsehood” and “lack of tenderness”.
Charamsa can look back on a steep ecclesiastical career. He is an official of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the second secretary of the International Theological Commission. He further teaches at the Pontifical Gregorian University (Jesuits) and at the Pontifical University Regina Apostolorum (Legionaries of Christ) in Rome.
In an article published today in the anticlerical Polish Gazeta Wyborcza, he stated that he had finally liberated himself from the Church, which he calls “blinded, oppressive, inhuman, insane and inhumane”. According to him, the Church gives herself the permission to hate humanity and anything human and "presents herself shamelessly as an expert on what is human".
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, to which he owes his ecclesiastical career, Charamsa now calls hateful, blinded, contemptuously, unenlightened and "homophobic" trying to construct an opposition between Pope Francis and the Congregation.
In future Charamsa intends to devote his joy and freedom to a certain Eduard, "the man I love." Charamsa refers to him as "my fiancé, who has brought my best energies to light."
