Bishop Vigano's consolations for this time of Advent

On this First Sunday of Advent, the liturgy invites us to meditation on the coming of the Lord: Deus meus, in te confido, non erebuscam: neque irrideant me inimici mei (Introit). My God, I trust in you, let me not be ashamed, and let not my enemies laugh at me. When the enemies of God and the Church seem to prevail, let us think that their victory is only apparent and momentary, and that Christ's triumph approaches inexorably: tremendous for those who are against Him, consoling for those who love and obey Him. Non præreribit generatio hæc, donec omnia fiant, the Lord tells us. This generation will not pass away, before everything has happened.

Since 2021 I have seen fit to disassociate myself from any support for the Coalition for Canceled Priests, for the reasons that are now clear to all. I think it goes without saying that I do not even recognize the “Priests for the Coalition,” established by Fr John Lovell.
