It's no big secret that Cardinal Burke has always treated the topic of Francis VERY gingerly. He sees the devastation & error, but knows that being too blunt about it will get him excommunicated like Vigano. Hence why many trad pundits accuse him of cowardice. However, I respect many of the good works that he has done to not be rash in my judgement. It's easy for us laity to say that he should just "fall on his spear" and denounce Francis. Even I can't go that far. Oh I have doubts, but I can only guess what his Eminence is thinking. Full disclosure, I'm on his mailing list and it seems to me he's trying to teach the Faith despite Francis' heresies.
