Here's a serious privacy breach: an app for tracking menstrual cycles told users they didn't sell cycle data but then sold that data to Facebook. They got no fine. This is a clearer injustice against privacy than anything in Catholic news this week.

@Joao H Machado, I've been fairly public that my current full time work is writing a doctoral thesis in moral theology on privacy. I don't think it is the most pressing issue in the Church, but I do think it's an issue I can contribute more on than others. My own writing is dictated partially by my specific expertise as I don't find it worth my time to write something almost identical to someone …More

I don't think it is the most pressing issue in the Church, but I do think it's an issue I can contribute more on than others. My own writing is dictated partially by my specific expertise as I don't find it worth my time to write something almost identical to someone else in a field I have no special expertise: I'd rather just share their article if it's well done.
