The Augustinians in Lawrence Massachusetts were bringing in illegal immigrants from the Dominican Republic in big numbers back in the 70s and 80s. The City of Lawrence was once a textile factory powerhouse, but fell on hard times in the mid 20th century, but the crime and poverty stemming from the illegal immigration made it one of the very poorest cities in America in more recent times. The Augustinians have no complaints though.
