Pope Francis donated 100.000 Euro for the construction of a Greek-Orthodox monastery in St. Andrä/Zicksee, Austria. The donation was handed over by Vatican Cardinal Kurt Koch on February 27 in Vienna, writes kathpress.at.
The news agency who belongs to the Austrian bishops hushes up that the leader of the monastery is a lapsed Catholic priest who now calls himself Paisios Jung. He is a German and former monk of Weltenburg Abbey.
After abandoning his monastery, he joined the Greek-Orthodox in Greece who baptised him a second time and re-ordained him to the priesthood. According to Catholic doctrine it is heretical to receive these sacraments twice.
