Pope Francis Talks Like Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre

On Friday morning, Pope Francis at a meeting with representatives of the Italo-Latin American Organization called dialogue "indispensable", warning of a “dialogue between the deaf”. “Dialogue is a reciprocal exchange of trust, which knows that on the other side there is a brother with a hand reaching out to help.”

The journalist Hilary White comments on Twitter: “Looks like mocking him for refusing to ‘dialogue’ with the Dubia Brothers has hit a mark.” She stresses that the phrase “dialogue of the deaf” was used by archbishop Marcel Lefebvre (+1991) to describe his dealings with Rome.
