Everything he's doing to attack the traditional liturgy makes sense if you remember the maxim, "Lex credendi." He can't allow a liturgy that embodies the old religion while he's working to install the new one.

Actually, no pope has the authority to change the Apostolic Tradition (which includes the sacraments -- Jesus instituted the Mass). Francis may temporarily have the power, but not the authority. Catholics who know the Traditional Catholic faith will not be fooled.
