God Is Born
God is born, power’s freezing,
Lord of Heaven is revealed.
Fire clots, glow is ceasing,
the Infinite is now sealed.
Though despised – to glory fated,
mortal King and First Principle,
For the Word is incarnated
and has dwelt among us, people.
Hast thou Heaven more than Earth?
God has left thy splendid favours
and descended in His birth,
keen to share our pains and labours.
He was wounded and tormented
for our sins, to heal the crippled,
For the Word is incarnated
and has dwelt among us, people.
Raise your hand, Holy Child,
Bless our cherished fatherland,
and support it with your might
in well being and prudent stand.
Bless our home and goods related,
hamlets and each city steeple,
For the Word is incarnated
