New York: New Auxiliary Bishop Believes in Mass Hysteria
The video below shows Rev. Joseph Espaillat preaching "rap style" to the people of the Bronx, N.Y.
He is part of the "charismatic movement", where he is known as "Father J".
Espaillat started a podcast and YouTube series called "Sainthood in the City", where he invites rapper guests to talk about religion.
His preaching style is "visual". While speaking on the theme of freeing the sinner from the chains of sin, he wrapped himself in chains and knelt down to receive the imposition of hands from two of his fellow charismatics.
In March 2022, Francis chose Espaillat, then 45, as auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of New York.
Asked if he would continue his mass hysteria shows, he replied: "Absolutely!"
