Sabo 2.0: The Abuse Hypocrisy of the Paid Media
At issue is the notorious Franz Sabo, 67, a priest imported from Bamberg Archdiocese, Germany, and notorious parish priest of Röschenz, Switzerland.
Sabo was hyped up by the oligarch media in 2005-2008 when then Basel bishop Kurt Koch, now Curia Cardinal Koch, first placed Sabo on leave and then suspended him because he had launched a public invective campaign against Koch.
But Sabo, with the help of his parish council and the cantonal church, simply continued as pastor. The oligarchs, above all Blick.ch, protected him. In the end, Koch capitulated unconditionally. Sabo and the oligarchs celebrated a triumphant victory.
Now Sabo has been caught up with his past. The Berlin priest Thomas Pfeifroth, 57, accuses Sabo of having homosexually abused him in 1982 when he was 17 years old in the archdiocese of Bamberg. Pfeifroth presented a letter from 2002 in which Sabo indirectly admits the crime.
As early as 2010, Pfeifroth had informed Koch's successor in Basel, Bishop Felix Gmür, about the accusations and asked him to initiate a canonical investigation against Sabo and to report the case to Rome.
Given the proverbial cowardice of the Novus Ordo bishops and Sabo's powerful patrons, it is understandable that Gmür did not want to get involved in another war with Sabo. He therefore invoked the statute of limitations.
The height of hypocrisy: the same oligarchs who defended Sabo so vehemently now accuse Gmür of having "covered up" the case.
Especially piquant: Already in 2005, when Sabo started his campaign against Bishop Koch with the help of the oligarch media, accusations of homosexual sins were levelled against him.
And: In its propaganda article against Bishof Gmür, Blick.ch covered up Sabo's past battles against Basel diocese.
What do we learn from this story? A priest who is anti-Catholic and immoral and therefore enjoys the protection of the oligarch media can get away with murder, and the Novus Ordo bishops will not move a finger.
