Cardinal Müller: Betrayal Under Label 'Synod' - Building a Post-Catholic 'Church'
The Church cannot be transformed into "a montanistic, enthusiastic Spirit-Christianity without dogma, sacraments and apostolic magisterium", Cardinal Gerhard Müller wrote on Kath.net on October 15.
"We cannot follow the example of the ancient Gnostics, who wanted to transfer the Church to a 'higher stage' of its historical existence, and disguise this betrayal with the beautiful label of a 'synodal church'."
A combination of a Protestant concept of synodality, based on the negation of the sacramental Ordo and the episcopal hierarchy, with the Catholic concept of synod is doomed to failure.
Müller adds that 'synodal' Anglicanism as a 'middle way' between Protestant and Catholic views has failed.
He warns that the sacramental constitution of the Church is in no way comparable with the constitutions of political entities.
Therefore, Cardinal Müller warns against the "construction of a post-Catholic church" or the "transformation into a wokeness-compliant NGO".
Regarding Vatican II's "modernist time bombs" ---ultimate cause of the "modernist explosions" that have been going off around us since the end of Vatican II to the present today--whose current heretical "nuclear soul-killing device", Francis' "Sin-odality," are wreaking havoc in the Church, St. Matthew in his Holy Gospel (XIII, 13) prophesies words that Cardinal Mueller should take care to listen to as they apply to him: "Though they have eyes, they cannot see, and though they have ears, they cannot hear or understand." Spiritual sight and spiritual hearing are a gift from God. Once given, they are not repented of. We must be ever vigilant as we can lose these gifts through mortal sin. This lack of spiritual comprehension ---up to the top of the Church--- of the root "cause" of the modernist "effects" destroying the Church is as plain as the nose on your face but because of the "mysterium iniquitatis" within the City of God (St. Augustine) in the end times, our times, even the faith of the elect is, and will continue to be, tried, and sifted by the devil like it in the Parable of the tares and the wheat that will not be winnowed until the Final Judgement...until then we will find both "tares and wheat" within the Church to the highest levels. The cardinal, an intelligent man, sees the effects, or the "explosions", but he is spiritually blind. He refuses to attribute the effects of modernism to their true causes. The true causes are the hidden 'time bombs of modernist ambiguity' intentionally placed in several of Vatican II's declarations. For example, "Lumen Gentium" regarding the nature of the Church and oecumenism vs. Mystici Corporis of Pius XII, religious liberty vs. religion tolerance --we tolerate evil; the Church cannot give evil rights; natural human dignity vs. human dignity supernaturally restored after original sin by the divine grace received at baptism without which 'human dignity' is lost, the glorification of a new humano-centric vision of man vs. the traditional theo-centric vision---man was made to know, to love, and to serve God and by these means to be with God forever in heaven---, and finally "sin by omission": the absence at Vatican II of a condemnation of the evil scourge Communism which is "intrinsically evil per Pius XI" despite two schismatic Russian bishops being invited to, and present at the Council, Cardinal Mueller stubbornly refuses to attribute the effects to the obvious cause, Vatican II. This type of total spiritual blindness afflicted Archbishop Vigano as well until God removed "the scales from his eyes." We should pray for Cardinal Mueller that he might join Archbishop Vigano in his courageous stance of attributing the effects to their true cause, "1789 in the Church (Suenens)," Vatican II for indeed Our Blessed Lord cured the blind man and gave him sight, and He put His fingers in the ears of the deaf man and he heard...
“Christianity without dogma” IS precisely what the false ecumenism of Vatican II proposes. Yet Cardinal Mueller has earlier insisted that the SSPX must accept that false ecumenism (as well as the Council’s new teachings of Religious Liberty and other false teachings of Vatican II). Nevertheless, he fails to acknowledge that the errors he complains of today grew out of the false teachings of Vatican II which he still fully embraces. So why is he now keeping one foot in Vatican II but yet condemning the clear results of the Council. is he looking for some heretical “middle ground” or is there something else going on? If he’s changed his mind about Vatican II and now rejects its’ false teachings, that’s fine—even admirable. But please, have the courage to say so.
