In today’s Saint Story for Kids, we learn about Saint Lawrence Wang Bing, a brave lay catechist who taught the Catholic faith in China and gave his life for Jesus. Saint Lawrence Wang Bing lived in the 19th century during a time of persecution. As a lay catechist, he helped others learn about Jesus, prayed with families, and strengthened the Church quietly and faithfully. When his faith was discovered, he refused to deny Christ and became a martyr in 1858. Saint Lawrence Wang Bing is one of the 120 Martyrs of China, canonised by Pope John Paul II in 2000.
