Cardinal Dolan seems mystified: he doesn't know why the faithful haven't been returning to Mass despite our glorious leaders giving him permission to preach the Gospel again. Maybe he should take a close look at his own role in all of this.

I listened to this on my phone. You ask is oblivious the right word to use for description of these Cardinals that say "They don't understand why people aren't returning to Church".
I think it is a charitable word to use, but no doubt there are more accurate and less charitable descriptions.
