Olympic Games in France: No Cross, Please!

The posters for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games were unveiled at the Musée d'Orsay on 4 March. They were created by a certain Ugo Gattoni.

A composition of micro-elements and small scenes of a utopian, fantasy version of Paris, they include the Eiffel Tower, the Patrouille de France, the Metro, the Seine, the Arc de Triomphe. Familiar places, monuments and symbols are rearranged and reinterpreted.

Most notable: The cross on Les Invalides in Paris, which houses military history museums, has been removed.
