Religion and architecture
Sadly I've seen many a 'catholic' church that looked similar to the bottom photo & even had a 'class' in seminary where they said having such profane structures had 'witness value' in meeting people "where they're at." As one priest observed; "We're building banks that look like churches, and churches that look like banks!" Where is our treasure?

There aren’t many of them around anymore, but there were some beautiful art deco style banks whose aesthetic beauty would put almost any modern church to shame.
