@V.R.S. And the sad thing is, it's open war fomented by such a tiny, tiny minority, and yet the clergy still largely refuse to fight it. A 2021 mandatory Office of National Statistics survey in England and Wales demonstrated that a mere 1.54% of the population identified as 'lesbian or gay'. There's no reason to believe the figure is any different in the USA.

True, but the reason why it is so grave a sin for a priest or another person in a position of authority to corrupt one of his or her charges is that the position of authority is very powerful, and we are all weak and subject to believing what someone in that position tells us. The practice of admitting men dressed in women's clothing is the norm at Catholic women's colleges in the United States.
According to NcRegister.com (16 February), five of the eight Catholic women's colleges in the country explicitly state this on their websites.
At two other institutions, officials have confirmed that they accept transvestite applicants.
The last remaining Novus Ordo school is the all-girls Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana, which attempted to follow the others' gender ideology in June 2023, but reversed itself in December 2023 after an outcry.
NcRegister.com contacted all the dioceses concerned, but only the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, home to two Catholic women's colleges, replied, promising to take action against these degenerate policies.

Cardinal Joseph Zen summarised the 2023-2024 Synod of Bishops in his blog OldYosef.hkdavc.com (15 February).
"They tell us that synodality is a fundamental constitutive element of the life of the Church, but at the same time they stress that synodality is what the Lord expects of us today", meaning that "it is something new".
Zen notes that there are two opposing visions of the Church:
"On the one hand, the Church is presented as founded by Jesus Christ on the apostles and their successors, with a hierarchy of ordained ministers guiding the faithful on their way to the heavenly Jerusalem. On the other hand, there is talk of an undefined synodality, a 'democracy of the baptised' ('Which baptised? Do they go to church regularly? Do they draw their faith from the Bible and their strength from the sacraments?)".
Zen warns that the second vision "can change everything: the doctrine of faith and the discipline of the moral life".
Some say that the synod has no agenda, but that insults our …More

Mons. Kieran Harrington resigned from his position as national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in the United States after the Diocese of Brooklyn found “sufficient evidence” of “inappropriate behavior with an adult.”
The Diocese of Brooklyn’s Adult Allegations Committee (AAC) investigated Mons. Harrington after receiving an allegation of “inappropriate conduct” on March 6, 2023. The committee found “sufficient evidence” to support the allegation, but did not reveal specific details about the conduct.
In a statement provided to CNA, EWTN News' English agency, Mons. Harrington admitted that he had an "inappropriate" encounter with a woman in which he broke his "pledge of celibacy." However, he claimed that the incident was consensual and occurred long before he took office in the PMO.
“Unfortunately, more than a decade ago and prior to my appointment to this position, I had only one inappropriate and consensual encounter with an adult woman whom I deeply cared about. “…More

Francis is "very much in favour of the female diaconate," secularised Salesian Sister Linda Pocher told the anti-Catholic ReligionDigital.org (9 February).
The Vatican is currently trying to understand how the [invalid] diaconate of women could be put into practice, she said.
According to her, Francis wants to rethink and reorganise (sic) the relationship between the sacramental priesthood and the priesthood of all the faithful [which are essentially different], extending to all the baptised some "rights" that until recently were reserved for the clergy.
The use of the word "rights" reveals Francis' legalistic and neo-Marxist understanding of the sacrament of Holy Orders.
So far Francis has only toyed with the concept of deaconesses. But unlike his weakness for homosexual sin, he has taken no concrete steps and even warned against a "clericalisation" of the faithful.
However, it can be ruled out that Sister Pocher made her statements without Francis' approval. Only on 5 February, she …More
