Archbishop Fell in Love with Mass "Late in Life"

Retired Nuncio Archbishop Thomas Gullickson fell in love with the Roman Rite late in life, he told SfCatholic.org (April 27), “I love the old liturgy and am most impressed with traditional lay Catholics.”

Gullickson is regularly ordaining deacons and priests at the Seminary of the Fraternity of St Peter in Denton, Nebraska, “I love it!"

He will also celebrate High Mass in Chartres Cathedral on Pentecost Monday at the end of the Notre Dame de Chrétienneté Pilgrimage from Paris to Chartres.

Celebrating Mass and hearing confessions is what he likes best about being a priest. The greatest challenge is to be faithful to his prayer commitments and to grow more in prayer.

In retirement, he has less free time than when he was a nuncio. He tries to go to a the gym as often as possible. He also walks outside, when the weather permits, "but when I can read, I am very happy."

Gullickson is currently thinking about a book project, "but it is slow going.”

That's nice. What does what the bishop 'loves' have anything to do with what is due to God?

I hope more and more priests and bishops stand up against Pope Francis the heretic Pope and his homo squad.

If any bishop speaks, it is because he is retired.
Those who are active know that if they say anything, they are finished.
Even so, they must denounce what is wrong.
