German Princess Gloria: FSSPX Was Once Schismatic, But Is Not Anymore

German princess Gloria von Thurn und Taxis wrote a book about things that have been said or reported about her, in order to set the record straight and provide the correct context. Main points from her recent interview about the book on the German EWTN (26 September).

- We are a divided society. This division is imposed from above.

- The state or the powerful have a strong interest in isolating people because an isolated person is easier to influence.

- In the political sphere, the German conservatives massively built a firewall against the opposition party, the Alternative for Germany (AfD). This reminded me of the situation in the Church.

- Those who appreciate the Tridentine Mass are excluded from the Church. Sometimes, local bishops did not want this Mass to be celebrated at all.

- Meanwhile, Protestant bishops were invited to participate in liturgies and even stand at the altar. However, the Fraternities of St Pius X and St Peter were excluded.

- Fortunately, things changed after Pope Benedict XVI issued the motu proprio Summorum Pontificum in 2007. The traditional Mass experienced a revival, with far more people attending it than the modern ordinary Mass.

- The Fraternity of St Pius X was once schismatic, but this changed with a Papal letter.

- Over the past 40 years, family life has increasingly been marginalised in politics and society.

- There are no longer any films portraying family or unborn life positively, or showing how wonderful family life can be.

- There is a strong ideology that there are too many people in the world. However, according to the latest scientific findings, as well as the views of prominent figures such as Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba, and Elon Musk, the problem in the future will be underpopulation, not overpopulation.

- One must actively fight against evil. Otherwise, it spreads like a cancerous tumour and leads to self-destruction.
