Poland: Petition to Prohibit Confession
The Archbishop of Poznań, Monsignor Stanisław Gądecki, a former president of the Polish bishops' conference, says the request is reminiscent of the worst moments of the Stalinist era, when children were not allowed to be baptised or go to church until they reached the age of majority.
Betlejewski's petition has gathered just over 13,000 signatures. The alleged comedian believes that confession is "an experience of humiliation" and a "traumatic event" for children, and that it is a "medieval relic" from a time of "feudal social relations".
The activist himself is a relic of perversion and decadence.
In 2014, Betlejewski posted a video of himself masturbating in a staircase. In 2016, he used hired actors and hidden cameras in staged scenes during fictional job interviews.
He promoted a hypocritical "I miss you, Jew!" campaign, while at the same time using blasphemy to fight against "Christian values" in public spaces.
Not surprisingly, the activist is a favourite of the regime's paid journalists.
