Yesterday, I happened across a video of an Irishman who comments on Church matters, an apparently pious man (suggested by the background wall when he is speaking to camera, which is full of holy pictures.} Anyway, he was reporting to his viewers that someone had given him information about a scandalous meeting of the Irish Bishops at Knock, presumably with the intention of getting some publicity on his video. The host of the show went off to ask the Lord in prayer about what he should do and the Lord apparently told him not to publish this information as it could cause scandal. Not only is this not the normal way God deals with our prayers (mine anyway, I have to wait for answers to prayer and they never come with a clear "I want you to do or not do this..." If only!) but said host of said video show went on to quote at length from a claimed apparition, one of those doubtful ones, seemed to have been approved then not approved blah blah - in other words, to be avoided. Isn't it odd that Our Lord would answer that video host so clearly and directly - yet not inform Lifesitenews that He didn't want this scandal published?

Goes without saying that I am scandalised that those Irish Bishops invited that heretic to address them anywhere, Knock included, but I also know that God would not want the faithful to go ignorant of such scandalous behaviour for all sorts of reasons. We were Confirmed to defend the Faith under attack, to be Soldiers of Christ, with no mention of that duty to fight being conditional on suppressing the very scandals we must dutifully expose. That poor Irishman with the video show is a very mixed-up soul - I've seldom visited his YouTube channel but every time I pay a visit, I spot the equivalent of some classic classroom/examination howlers.
Pray for the video-man - and for the Irish Bishops for whom a most terrible Judgement awaits.
