Pope Leo Celebrates his First ‘Bambinelli Sunday’
Pope Leo XIV celebrated his first Bambinelli Sunday by blessing the statues of the Infant Jesus brought by children and families during the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square, continuing the Advent tradition. Greeting young pilgrims, the pope invited them to place the blessed figures in Nativity scenes at home, in schools, and in parish centers, and asked them to remember him in their prayers. In precedenza, commentando come di consueto il Vangelo del giorno, il Pontefice aveva parlato della quarta domenica di Avvento, soffermandosi in particolare sulle virtù di san Giuseppe: pietà e carità, misericordia e abbandono.
