Empty: Fitting Furniture For Notre-Dame de Paris (Pictures)

Photos of the new liturgical furnishings for Paris Cathedral - at a total cost of about €6M - were published on LeFigaro.fr (June 23).

Paris Archbishop Ulrich chose the commercial designer Guillaume Bardet to create the ambo, cathedra, altar, tabernacle and baptistery with the task of bringing the cathedral “into the 21st century” [= into decadence]. Bardet chose a bronze altar, while all the other artists suggested stone.

The reliquary shrine of Christ's famous crown of thorns will be placed in a wooden stand with bronze thorns (bottom picture) made by Sylvain Dubuisson, also a commercial designer.

The furniture nicely expresses the emptiness of the Novus Ordo.

There is no altar in a "Catholic" Church anymore because there is no sacrifice. There are no priests offering sacrifice, there are only celebrants sharing a meal around the Communion Table. Protestants hate the idea that the Mass is a sacrifice. That had to go.

HORRIBLE. TOTALLY A TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE DISPLAY. Notre Dame should have been restored to the way it was. This is an insult to the Catholic Faith. No wonder there were only 88 ordinations in France this year, 30+ being for traditionalist communities. and if gross piece is suposed to be the tabranacle, it looks more like something out of Star Trek or Star Wars. There's onlyone group of people who would like this and experiment with this. 1) Radical liturgical dissidents who hate Catholic Faith,tradition,liturgy, art,Church Magesterium and who also happen to be....HOMOSEXUALS. Betcha I'm right. 😉
