Homosex Blasphemy Law: Priest Convicted

Father David Muscat's initial acquittal has been overturned and he has been given a six-month prison sentence suspended for two years (MaltaToday.com, May 31).

Muscat had declared that practising homosexual sin was "worse than being possessed by the devil" after a homosexual murdered a woman in Sliema, Malta.

The positive outcome of the conviction is that a courthouse has implicitly recognised the seriousness of being possessed by the devil.

Most EU countries have homosex blasphemy laws similar to Islamic blasphemy laws.
