France: Theft of Consecrated Hosts in Lille

During the night of Saturday 22nd to Sunday 23rd February 2025, the collegiate church of Saint-Pierre-Saint-Paul in Lille was broken into and desecrated.

According to a statement from the parish, the thieves stole equipment, in particular a sound system, but above all the ciborium and the lunula, in which the consecrated hosts were kept.

The parish priest presided at a Eucharist of reparation on Sunday 2 March.
