Italian Oligarch Newspaper Pays for Lying About Becchiu Trial

Corriere della Sera has, Italy’s biggest oligarch newspaper, paid a “substantial sum” to Raffaele Mincione, an Italo-British financier over defamatory accusations of embezzlement, fraud, and corruption.

London’s High Court heard about this on October 12.

Corriere.it also agreed to remove two 2019 and 2020 online articles about the sale of 60 Sloane Avenue in Chelsea, London, to the Vatican.

Mincione is among ten people the Vatican accuses [presumably wrongly] of fraud and embezzlement.
