1) For the salvation of his soul.
2) And because to reject Tradition is to reject Christ. Faithful Catholics need to hear this truth from the hierarchy in order to have peace. Non-practicing Catholics need to hear this truth to be drawn back to Jesus.
3) And because without Tradition there is no future.
