The World’s ONLY Muslim Country Which Supports a Catholic Faculty
The opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Presidential Affairs Mansour Azzam; Minister of Higher Education Bassam Ibrahim; and Melkite Patriarch Yousef al–Absi of Antioch.
The college was established under a decree issued by President Bashar al-Assad. It belongs to the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchate.
Minister Ibrahim stressed that Syria has rejected all forms of submission [to Western promoted Islamist], and proves that Syria is the country of tolerance, the cradle of Christianity, the incubator of Islam, and a minaret of moderation.”
The Syrian population is suffering from murderous sanctions imposed by the USA and their satellite regimes. It's telling that in Moslem countries supported by the West, even the public display of a cross is forbidden.
