Back in May 2021, Chief Rosanne Casimir of the Tkʼemlups te Secwepemc went public about a mass grave discovered of 215 children at the site of a former residential school in Kamloops, British Columbia. Some of the chidren were as young as three. Was it an act of genocide? The whole country was in shock. In the aftermath of the news, over 100 Christian churches across Canada were vandalized, desecrated and even burned the ground. PM Justin Trudeau at time said the violent reaction was understandable. However, over five years later, no real evidence has been found to support the mass grave claim of 215 children killed and buried at the school.
