Rev. Luigi Villa on Joseph Ratzinger’s theology
“Here are some theological positions of Benedict XVI taken from his book: “Why we are still in the Church”, published in 2008.
The Church?
«Being on the path of announcing to the people» (p. 55).
For Ratzinger, the Church is no longer the divine and perfect society, founded by God, a channel with the afterlife, which applies the blood of Jesus Christ with the sacraments and shows us the way of heaven, but it's the human race, baptized or not.
The Mission?
«The theology of mission has freed itself of religious coverage". No more carrying in the world Jesus God the only Savior, who died on the cross for free us from sins and save our souls.
Descent into hell?
«No article of Faith is much far from our current consciousness... Holy Saturday is the day of God's death."
No! Jesus God dies on Good Friday, not Saturday, and he immediately descended into the underworld (limbo, place where the righteous of the Old Testament were waiting for the opening of Heaven.
Ratzinger denies Hell and the underworld as places, logically denies that Our Lord descended there: «What does the Descent of Jesus mean? Participation in the fate of death of man" (p. 65). Style formulas!
Hell, death? «Abyss of man's solitude...
Hell and death: the two things are identical.
Death is loneliness. And that loneliness is Hell"
(p. 68). No. At the time and place of death, the soul is judged from God: the particular judgement. Immediately, go to Hell, if dies in mortal sin, unconfessed; in Heaven, if dies without mortal or confessed sins. Ratzinger says, about the Christ who died on Friday 3 pm: «He is entered this abyss of our being abandoned." “Hell is overcome…death, which used to be Hell, is no longer Hell…since, now, in the heart of death, there is life" (p. 68).
The prophet Elijah. The only one who kept the faith in Israel? A "cruel". (p. 61). He ascended to Heaven. The ascension of Our Lord into Heaven with the body (Dogma of Faith). Where to send Him, given that the Is heaven not a "place", but a construction of the mind of retrograde "devotees"? Ratzinger solves the problem: «Simple style formula".
He denies hell: «The descent into hell does not refer to an external depth of the cosmos, not at all indispensable... Hell, existing in definitive rejection
of “being-for” is not a cosmographic certainty,
but rather the dimension of human nature." (p. 70).
Today we know more than ever that this depth affects the existence of everyone... Humanity is a human being, this depth (Hell, for Ratzinger) does not concern the individual, but rather the human race in general... The depth, which we (he!) call Hell, only to man himself... closure in himself... Hell is wanting to be completely alone (p. 71).
Ratzinger denies personal responsibility before God,
Justice which consists in punishing the bad and rewarding the good, and proclaims the impossibility of Hell.
Sky? Yes, that is "given to man" (p. 72).
So place? No. «What is meant by heaven in the Christian sense». «It must not be understood as an eternal, ultra-earthly place… which would be closed only to be opened one day». (p. 73).
He denies the soul:
«We have recently discovered the indivisibility of the human being… we can understand it the biblical message that does not promise in a new way immortality to a separate soul... the Greek doctrine of the immortality of the soul wrongly considered Christian thought" (p. 72).
The Revelation was closed at the death of the last apostle.«Wrongly considered Christian thought»?
Ratzinger denies all revealed Faith. It denies the soul separated from the body. «Having a soul means being desired, known and loved by God».
Ratzinger, thus, denies the salvation of souls, the heart of Christian, the "go into the whole world" (to convert everyone creature), all the martyrs who shed their blood for this, prayers, penances, Mass sacrifice, sacraments, observation of cults, possibility of damnation eternal, absolute necessity of baptism (therefore sin original and supernatural grace, the limbo of dead children without baptism), necessity of the Catholic Faith to save oneself, knowledge of the divine blood and acceptance of His divinity, the Madonna Mediatrix, Advocate, Co-Redemptrix. No judgement, divine justice.
Ratzinger denies everything.
Heresy of ecumenism. All saved, all religions
equal, no truth, all opinion; Jesus, His cross?
No! «Immortality only for devotees? Unacceptable! It is not a special gift for devotees, but rather for the man as such" (p. 81).
He denies the body/soul dualism: «We don't fall into one dualistic conception" (p. 82). Ratzinger is a trialist (Body, soul, spirit - the spirit would be God in man, who believe it or not; and just as God cannot throw himself into Hell, no one is damned!). “Nature and Supernature cannot be divided” (p. 83). Ratzinger thus denies Philosophy.
Tridentine Mass
The Pope made an announcement on the “legalization” of the Tridentine Mass, during Holy Week, in April 2006. But look who was made Cardinal and then reconfirmed to the Ecclesia Dei Commission which deals with the Tridentine Mass: Jean-Pierre Ricard , Archbishop of Bordeaux, or rather I should say “Rabbi Ricard”, since he became a student of the Talmud of Avi Weiss, the ignoble rabbi who, with a squad of Khazars from New York, attacked the Carmelite Nuns at Auschwitz in 1989, and who was accused by the Polish Cardinal Glemp of waiting for the moment to murder the Sisters (they were saved by a group of corpulent Polish workers on a construction site).
A few days after Ricard entrusted himself to Weiss in New York, Benedict XVI awarded Ricard with the cardinal's hat and, in rapid succession, reconfirmed his authority over the Latin Mass. It is said that the rabbis now believe that the new Catholic Church has surpassed even Zionism and the Protestant Fundamentalist Churches in terms of their usefulness to Judaism, since the latter still seek to convert "the Jews", while the New The Catholic Church now sits down, in a “yeshiva,” and “learns” from them (photographs exist of both Cardinal Ricard and the Cardinal of Paris, Jean-Marie Lustiger, engaged in this act with Rabbi Weiss). Even Benedict XVI "prayed" in the Cologne synagogue. According to the rule of “Lex orandi, lex credendi” (which means that “the way we pray indicates what we believe”), the Catholic Church now believes in Judaism: teaching that a synagogue is a legitimate place to pray to God , and that a “yeshiva” is a legitimate place to learn the Word of God
An example of Ratzinger's duplicity
Ratzinger, in his book: “Jesus of Nazareth. From the entrance in Jerusalem until the Resurrection" attempts to exonerate the Jewish people from the accusation of deicide, blaming the aristocracy of the Temple, as if it were not Judea and at the head of the Jewish people, nor did he represent them.
But this discourse is, instead, anti-historical, claiming to be based on a non-existent Gospel, invented ad hoc by Ratzinger, who cites lexical distinctions to demonstrate the unprovable.
The book is, however, characterized by the continuous oscillation between Pontius and Pilate with a case study that satisfies the Rabbis, suggesting to the Church "not to exhort the Jews to conversion". Thus, Ratzinger saves face.
This is an example that reveals the style of the entire book Ratzinger.
In the “Lumen Gentium” of Vatican II, it is stated
that Muslims worship with us the One God; and in “Nostra Aetate” it is even said that “The Church looks with esteem Muslims who worship the subsistent, merciful and omnipotent God, Creator of Heaven and Earth” (19).
Now, these claims are historical extravagances, because Islam decisively refuses to give God the attribute of "Father", and denies Jesus as "Son of God"; as well denies his divinity and does not accept the Incarnation, mistakes the archangel Gabriel for the Holy Spirit, and states that, on Golgotha, Christ was not crucified, but his double, and ridicules the Resurrection and denies the Redemption. And how can he be a “merciful God” if he sends Christians go to Hell without any remission (22), and if calls his faithful to "Jihad" (holy war) against them, why "unfaithful"?.. And then, how can the our God, when their “Allah” degrades the woman, wants polygamy, slavery, denies the beatific vision to his own elect, and promises a "paradise" kind of "harem" with young men and beautiful ladies come on
big black eyes, enclosed in pavilion just for sex?
This may be enough to tell the Hierarchy that the Church Catholic could absolutely not say that “Muslims they worship with Us the One God...".
Now, how was it possible that the Council Fathers, signatories of "Lumen Gentium" and "Nostra Aetate", did not know that Islam categorically and furiously refuses to be identified with the "Trinitarian God" of
Catholicism?..
Therefore, “sentire cum Ecclesia” cannot be interpreted as blind obedience to the Hierarchy, because the first and absolute obedience, in Faith, is only to God!”
