Bishops Allow "Absolution" Without Confession

However, it's mysterious how this could happen since all public liturgies and Church gatherings are cancelled.
Single "general absolutions" would amount to "confessions without confession."
Further, a general "absolution" is only a prayer for the forgiveness of sins like a personal act of contrition.
General "absolutions" don't forgive the sins which must be confessed later (Canon Law 962).
